STEP 1. Remove all contents from the received box and check stainless steel tube for any dent. Also verify all brackets and bolts against the parts list.

STEP 2. Read installation manual and installation drawing completely. Understand all brackets and bolts before installation.

STEP 3. Remove back rubber plugs over two holes (three on ’07-’98 ext cab driver side) on each inside face of sheet metal rocker panel as shown.

STEP 4. Install front mounting brackets by placing bolt plate (large) through hole in body using M10 flat washer, lock washer and hex nut as shown. The front bracket with downward sloping end is towards front of truck.

STEP 5. Install rear mounting brackets by placing bolt plate (large) through hole in body as shown using M10 flat washer, lock washer and hex nut.

’97-’98 Ext cab driver side rear bracket uses small bolt plate. This use the two lower holes in the rear bracket.

STEP 6. Install step bar onto mounting brackets using M14 bolt set at front and using M!0 allen head bolt set at rear as shown.
Torque M12-1.75x120mm bolt and M14 bolts to 60-65 ft-lbs.
Torque M10 allen bolts to 25-30 ft-lbs.
